ZOER

Born in Italy in 1985, lives and works in France.
Graduate of Strate College in Industrial Design, Zoer focuses his artistic pursuits on objects, to understand what their life and afterlife reveal about human behaviors. Today, industrial production is defined by many paradoxes, including both planned obsolescence as well as an increase in recycling. Materialism and overconsumption persist, but in a different form. The artist positions himself as an archeologist of anticipation, observing the future of objects as society becomes more dematerialized.
Zoer expresses himself through figurative paintings, in acrylic or oil, as well as sculptures and installations. In recent years, he has explored using cars as objects. He manipulates their carcasses, playing with them and painting on them. By looking at deteriorating objects, Zoer translates into his art a taste for design as much as for romanticism.
